The Age of Aquarius

I think a lot of us think the Age of Aquarius was something out of the 1960s and is over and done with…

As we enter 2012 it’s important to know and understand the times we are living in.

Astrological Ages span for about 2000 years.  We came out of the Piscean Age some believe in August of 1999 when the mother of all eclipses, a Total Eclipse of the Sun in Leo during a New Moon launched us into The Age of Aquarius.
We had just completed a 25,868-year cycle taking us thru every astrological sign there is so we are now beginning a brand new cycle again.

We are now entering “THE INFORMATION REVELUTION”.

The Age of Aquarius emphasis is on group activities and community.  The invention and acceleration of the World Wide Web and global communications are crucial to all receiving the TRUTH so that we evolve.

The saying associated with this time is “PROVE IT TO ME SCIENTIFICALLY”. Our world is about to grow into the Universe connecting us with other life.  I think of the movie Star Wars actually becoming a possibility over the next 2000 years.  Why not?  Aquarius is all about anything and everything being possible as long as it is balanced and for the good of mankind.

We have left the Piscean Age where the energy was all about Solitary Faith and we are now moving into Group Conciousness where there will be more accomplished for the good of all rather than the good of the few.
How wonderful the future can be if we go towards it hand and hand …

I encourage all of you to learn about the Age of Aquarius

so that you move forward educated and filled with all possibilities!

NO CHANGES IN THE ZODIAC

BY CHRIS LAFOND

MASTER ASTROLOGER IN THE SOCIETY OF ASTROLOGERS

Recently there has been reported in the news the idea that scientists have “discovered” two things: 1. a thirteenth “sign” of the zodiac, and 2. that the dates of the zodiac signs all need to be adjusted, meaning that you may have a “new” zodiac sun-sign.
Every few years, some scientist “discovers” this 13th new “sign,” known as either Ophiuchus or Aesclepius. This is a constellation that touches down near Scorpio and was known to the ancients. However, not all constellations became zodiac signs, and this is one that did not.
The other idea that was “discovered” is also not new. Tropical astrology, the kind that is practiced outside of India, has always begun the zodiac from the day of the Spring Equinox. We call that day the beginning of Aries, and we use 12 signs of 30 degrees each that go from that point. In India, more common is the Sidereal zodiac. This starts from the first star in the constellation Aries in the sky, but it still uses 12 signs of 30 degrees each.

Neither of these zodiacs has ever tried to “line up” with how big or small the constellations that bear their same names are. This recent scientific “discovery” is an attempt to point out what constellation the Sun is in front of on any given day of the calendar year. Some of these constellations are very small (Cancer and Libra, for example), while some are quite large (Taurus, Virgo, Pisces). But no one has ever tried to do astrology based on this type of Constellational Zodiac. It would be impossible. In fact, according to what I’ve read, the astronomer at the heart of this did not really even mention astrology; the newspaper interviewing took what he said about the Sun’s placement in front of constellations and took it upon themselves to announce that the Zodiac needed to be adjusted.

So relax, your Sun-sign has not changed; it is measured the same way it always has been. And if you have a good astrologer already, talk to her or him about this further.

Remember that to have the knowledge of the future is to have the power to correct negative behavior.
